Sarah Persha

Sarah Persha, MA, family systems therapist and learning specialist, has cultivated and optimized her signature WISE Parent Coaching for relevant communication skills practices tailored for each family. To experience more productive interpersonal communication between parents and teens/young adults, Sarah uses the multi-modal perspectives from both the behavioral sciences and the child development and learning method world—an amalgam of science and practice—parents report WISE coaching is "useful and immediately applicable, with greater calm and understanding."

Sarah is known in her professional circles as a young adult and parenting specialist. She brings not only her formal education in therapy, but her on the ground "ON DEMAND" accessibility, as parenting skills are often needed now—reassuring guidance and conflict navigation is her trademark. Coaching is not therapy, but coaching should be therapeutic. Twenty years in mental health and educational case management with clients teen through 60, bring an accumulation of top skills and proven methods to her clients.

Sarah achieved her Master's Degree in psychotherapy from Bastyr University in family systems theory in 2007, after twenty years of practice in educational consulting, emotional growth curriculum development, and experiential education planning. Ongoing professional continuing education and research including AFCC, GYA, NATSAP, AACAP, USPC, OPA, IECA.

Sarah also serves the non-profit Gap Year Association, headquartered in Portland, Oregon, in advisory role for mental health management, interfacing with experiential education programs worldwide and tutoring teams of global education leaders in current issues and trends relating to emerging young adults. Sarah is in an advisory role to other young adult residential transition programs in the US and abroad.
